Hole #18 is a 392-yard par 4 dogleg to the right. A driver played between the fairway bunkers will leave a mid-to short-iron to the green. The green slopes severely from front to back and right to left. Players will hit approach shots to the front left of this long green.

Hole #5 – 1939 U.S. Open

In playing this hole the tee-shot must favor the right center as the fairway slopes very sharply to the left and the ball may reach a trap or heavy rough. Assuming the first shot has been well placed, the second shot would be a good five iron or an easy four. This green is so designed that a high second shot is the proper one.
