Spring Mill Hole #10
Hole #10
Hole #10 is a slight dogleg to the left, 437-yard par 4. The fairway slopes from left to right with fescue grass running down the left-hand side of the hole. A driver should be played to the left side of the fairway, leaving an approach shot that will play uphill to this well-protected green. The green slopes gently left to right.
Hole #6 – 1939 U.S. Open
One of the longest and most deceptive second-shot holes on the course. After a good drive the second shot calls for a good, stiff #2 iron or a fine #1 to a green which is slightly uphill. The green has short traps to the right center which will play havoc with a badly hit second shot.
