Spring Mill Hole #9
Hole #9
Hole #9 is a straight 416-yard par 4. A tee shot over the first fairway bunker on the left will give the player a level lie and set up a mid to short-iron into this relatively flat green. A back-right hole location is very difficult to get to and any player missing the green to that hole will most likely walk away with a bogey.
Hole #15 – 1939 U.S. Open
A very fair and enjoyable two-shot hole, all the trouble can readily be seen. To gain advantage a player must favor the left corner. If he hooks, he is out of bounds. With the left corner position from the tee, a good five iron will make the green. The green is very small and dangerously trapped.
