Spring Mill Hole #2
Hole #2
Hole #2 is a 353-yard, uphill par 4 which doglegs slightly to the right. A driver up and over a fairway bunker on the left side of the fairway will put you in position to play a short iron into a well-protected and elevated green that slopes from back to front. A tee shot up the right side will have to contend with trees, bunkers and high rough.
Hole #17 – 1939 U.S. Open
A good carrying tee-shot of some 230 yards to the left corner of the fairway gives plenty of green to shoot at with a #8 or #9 iron. The green is slightly terraced and the second shot must be up if the desired three is expected.
