Spring Mill Hole #4

Hole #4

Hole #4 is a long, straight 470-yard par 4. The fairway, which slopes left to right, usually plays into the prevailing wind making it play even longer. A good tee shot will reach the top of the hill and from there the player will be faced with a midiron into a green that slopes considerably away from you and to the right. The green is protected on the left and the right by large bunkers. A good approach shot will be hit to the front-left side of the green.

Hole #10 – 1939 U.S. Open

The third hardest two-shotter on the course. A good drive, straight away, carrying to the left hand corner of the right-hand trap will leave the player a #3, 2 or spoon to the green. The prevailing wind had a lot to do with this. The green is quite large and deceptive.
